Design Process

Inside a design appointment

A one-on-one, by-appointment session with a Keene showroom designer — here's exactly what happens from start to finish.

Design appointments at PoshHaus Cabinets are by-appointment-only, one-on-one sessions with a dedicated kitchen and bath designer — not a quick sales conversation. Here's what to expect, step by step.

1. Walking your current space (or your plans)

We start with what you're working with — photos, rough dimensions, or existing architectural drawings if you have them. If you haven't measured yet, that's fine; we'll flag what needs a more precise measurement later.

2. Talking through brands and budget

Rather than starting with the most expensive line, your designer will ask about your budget range and match it to brands that fit — from Cab-Tec's in-stock wholesale pricing to NorthPoint's ready-to-assemble value line to Bertch's fully custom options.

3. Selecting door style, finish, and hardware

With physical samples on hand in our Keene showroom, you'll choose a door style (Shaker, raised-panel, slab, and more), a finish, and hardware pairings from our six hardware brands.

4. Building the 3D layout together

Your designer builds your actual layout in ProKitchen as you talk, so you can see cabinet runs, appliance placement, and finishes come together in real time, not just imagine it from a sketch.

5. Leaving with next steps

You'll leave with a saved 3D design you can review at home, plus a clear next step — whether that's booking an in-home measurement visit or refining a detail before you place your order.
