What a 3D Kitchen Design Session Actually Looks Like

We use ProKitchen software to build a photorealistic model of your actual space before you order a single cabinet. Here's how the process works.

"3D design" can mean a lot of different things depending on who's offering it. Here's specifically what happens when you work with our designers.

Step 1: Layout and measurements

We start with your actual room — either measurements you provide or a professional in-home measurement visit. Getting this right up front avoids the single biggest cause of design changes later.

Step 2: Building the model in ProKitchen

Our designers use ProKitchen, professional kitchen and bath design software, to build a true-to-scale 3D model of your kitchen or bath — not a generic sample layout. Cabinet runs, appliances, windows, and doorways are placed exactly where yours are.

Step 3: Selecting cabinets, doors, and finishes

From there we drop in your chosen brand, door style, and finish so the render reflects real product — not a placeholder. This is also where it's easiest to compare options side by side, since you can swap a door color or layout and see the update immediately.

Step 4: HD renderings and walkthroughs

The finished design comes as photorealistic HD renderings and panoramic views, which we can send straight to your phone so you can review it at home, share it with a spouse or contractor, or sit with it before making a final call.

Why it matters

The biggest value of 3D design isn't the pretty picture — it's catching problems (an island that's too tight, a door that swings into a walkway) before cabinets are ordered rather than after they're installed.
