Why Cabinets and Countertops Should Be Planned Together
Ordering cabinets and stone separately can create timeline gaps. Here's how PoshHaus Cabinets and PoshHaus Stone coordinate both.
One of the most common renovation headaches we see is a kitchen where cabinets and countertops were ordered from two separate vendors on two separate timelines — and then don't line up when it's time to install.
Why the sequencing matters
Countertop fabricators need final cabinet dimensions before they can template, and templating usually can't happen until cabinets are installed (or at minimum, set and leveled). If your cabinet order slips and nobody tells the countertop fabricator, you end up with a gap in your schedule — or a countertop template based on plans that changed.
How we handle it
As a division of PoshHaus, we work directly alongside PoshHaus Stone so your cabinet order and your countertop template are planned on the same calendar from day one, instead of you coordinating two vendors who've never spoken to each other.
What this looks like in practice
During your design consultation, we'll talk through cabinet lead time alongside slab selection and fabrication time, so your installer has a realistic date for both deliveries. If your cabinet brand has a longer lead time, we'll flag that early so your countertop order doesn't get scheduled ahead of it.
The bottom line
You don't have to use PoshHaus Stone for countertops to work with us on cabinets — but if you do, the handoff between the two is a lot smoother than managing it yourself across separate companies.
